2010 Summary of Art

I really used to suck. Not saying I don't now, but... wow. I REALLY used to suck!
I tried to find something that had been colored for every month, and had a surprisingly hard time with that. I generally start coloring something, and then lose interest in it within the hour, so I don't finish a whole lot. At least I managed to scrape up something that had been half colored for every one.

January: EW. Just... ew. This was my third attempt at digital coloring, and my second at shading. You can tell that I didn't really get it.
February: This was uploaded as a WiP, then I gave up on it, and deleted it. No real loss there.
March: This was never finished, and therefore, never uploaded. I don't know why. It was going to be the Lombax personification of Apastron, one of my starship OCs.
April: I actually finished this, but decided I didn't like it (I wonder why...) so I didn't upload it. It was supposed to be an early version of my Lombax persona. I ended up changing her coloring, and then later kind of went back to it, as you can see in September and December.
May: Something I actually uploaded! I didn't like it enough to put it up on it's own, so I put it in a sketchdump instead. I think this was my first attempt at highlights, but you can barely see it.
June: Another sketchdump piece. Still trying to figure out shading.
July: Finally figured out shading...more or less.
August: Couldn't fit the whole thing XD. If I had resized it any more, it would've been too blurry to see.
September: And, yet again, something I never uploaded. Like I said, I've changed my Lombax persona's coloring. I've now changed it a bit more, but not by too much. I didn't even finish the head of this; I was having too many problems with getting the eyes to look right. My first attempt at coloring hair. I don't know how well that worked out.
October: Hard to believe that this is the same character that's in January. I'm pretty sure that I didn't botch the shading here! Couldn't quite get the eyes right, though.
November: Still having issues with eyes...
December: This hasn't been uploaded yet, but only because I'm trying to figure out a background for it. I'm getting sick of just leaving things transparent. I'm pretty sure this is the coloring I'll keep for my persona. I turned this into my icon.
