2013 Summary of Art

January: Did a SHITTON of requests in January. And February, March, and April, but mostly January. It was a lot of fun, and it really helped me get out of my comfort zone! This was one of my first real attempts and backgrounds. Character here belongs to ~KiwiLombax15.

February: This was also a request, but of a canon character. More screwing around with backgrounds, as well as with lighting and posing.

March: Hey, this character's actually mine! I went through a brief superhero phase, which REALLY helped me with posing. And also costume design (not really, all I did was slap bright colors on everything).

April: Came up with a fursona I actually stuck with! Also started really getting into anthro around here.

May: More anthro stuff . Learning stuff about angles, and screwing with backgrounds some more.

June: Tablet broke :c. This is something I didn't get the chance to finish.

July: Remained tablet-less for most of the month, but finally got mine back right before it ended. This was ALL experimentation. I'd never drawn a character like this, or lighting like this, or a pose like this, or fire. This was a contest prize for =RoboticMasterMind.

August: The beginning of my annual lombax phase. Strange thing about this one is it hasn't gone away yet.

September: A Neopets thing! Done for a beauty contest takeover themed Masquerade Ball. Messed with hair shading on this, since I've never been happy with my hair shading. Still trying to work it out :/

October: This. I'm still strangely happy with this. No idea why. Another huge clusterfuck of trying to learn new things: backgrounds, angles, props, etc...

November: More baxes. Also successfully completed NaNoWriMo this month for the third year running.

December: An art trade I just finished yesterday! Lots of posing practice here. Characters belong to ~Babywarrior5.

I'm really quite pleased! This year has been super groundbreaking for me, not just from an art standpoint. I graduated high school, got my driver's licence, and got my first job, and still had time to improve my art. I am content.
